Jesse James, the owner of this 1964 Dodge Polara has partnered on this build with Honeywell Garret, a global leader in performance turbochargers, as well as Roadster Shop to build this unassuming sleeper. With Honeywell’s backing, this Polara will have a couple tricks hidden under its weathered exterior – and by tricks we mean turbos – the plan is to equip this old B-body with a twin-turbo, Hemi, which should perform quite well when combined with the custom Fast Track chassis. Additional details include a custom set of Forgeline monoblock wheels wrapped in Nitto NT05R tires as well as a restored, simplistic interior. The build on this old Mopar was a little more involved than a simple-bolt on job due to the Polara's unibody structure, so Roadster shop went to work scanning the entire vehicle with their Faro Technologies3D Scanner giving them the ability to design every single part of the chassis on the computer and thus ensure that it would be dead-nuts accurate. After designing and building the chassis they went to work cutting out all of the car's floor pans and substructure to make room for the new chassis as well as a custom-made floor which were then married together to create what they had in the renderings. This one-of-a-kind 1964 Dodge Polara was unveiled at SEMA 2017 in the Honeywell Garrett booth. -Specs: 426ci Wegner Motorsports-built Hemi Twin Honeywell Garrett GTX3582R turbos Tremec T-56 transmission Strange Engineering rear end Roadster Shop’s signature Fast Track chassis Custom intake manifold and titanium turbo manifold 14” Baer brakes 19” Forgeline wheels Nitto NT505R tires Built by: Roadster Shop 28775 N. US Mustang meets Italian stallion Full Customized and twin turbo Ferrari engine powered 1968 Ford Mustang Coupe Muscle Car , called @corrupttmustang Built by @alhotrods Check also out the second part. But the Corruptt Mustang may be the craziest of them all. Put together by the mad scientists at hot rod builder American Legends, this one-of-a-kind muscle car has the appearance of a 1968 Ford Mustang coupe. But underneath the pony car shell resides an Italian engine which really lives up to the “corrupt” name. Borrowed from a Ferrari F430, the engine powering the Corruptt Mustang is a 4.3-liter Italian thoroughbred V8. But the team at American Legends weren’t going to settle for the 483 hp of power and 343 pound-feet of torque produced by the motor. In came a Nelson Racing twin-turbo setup which boosted the power output to the range of 700 hp. The engine was then mated to a Tremec T56 six-speed transmission with sequential shifter. The Italian connection doesn’t end with the engine, as the intake manifold was taken from a Ferrari California. The dashboard components were 3D printed and then wrapped in carbon-fiber. The floor pan too got the lightweight material treatment. The roof got chopped and the overhangs at the front and back received some alterations. Coming to the magnificent stance, the Corruptt Mustang stands on RideTech Suspension and rolls on Avant Garde F461 wheels shod with Toyo tires. The Ferrari engine for the Corruptt Mustang was bought through eBay. You can get basically anything there these days, right? One of the most interesting aspects about the Corruptt project car – other than the Ferrari engine, of course – must be the dozen or more features which can controlled via Bluetooth, using an iPad. These include the doors, windows, air-con and the ride height. The 1968 Ford Mustang which served as the foundation for this build, belongs to Tony Arme of American Legends. It had been with him for around 14 years before the unbelievable transformation to the Ferrari-powered restomod happened." This Pontiac Firebird build began as an unfinished project; the owner was collecting parts for several years. With a good stash of parts on hand to start the build, he disassembled the Firebird down to a bare shell and had the body sand blasted. What he discovered was the level of body repair needed was simply beyond his capabilities. A few months later, the Firebird arrived at MetalWorks for a full transformation. The Firebird was to retain its classic looks, but with modern performance abilities. -Specs: Engine: Butler Performance 505ci (651 hp, 665 fl lbs tq.)
