In this series, Trent Kaniuga showcases techniques for redesigning his favorite games of all time including Portal by Valve Software. This is not an official portal 3 concept design, this is merely a workshop detailing the thought process of a concept artist approaching a blue sky approach to designing characters for such a game as portal.

In this video I wanted to talk a bit about what you can expect in the day in the life of a concept artist working at a studio. If you were hired to redesign megaman for megaman legends 3, how would you approach that task? How would you handle feedback from your team? Different teams handle approvals and process differently. Also, times and platform change the process of game development. Its never really the same. But I was a concept artist for Capcom for 3 years, so I know how they used to tackle concept art, and I'm laying it all out for you here in this video. I also cover a few little things about the use of Sketchbook Pro in the process in this video.
